After a short hiatus through 2018, taking time to get to grips with being a new parent, I returned to the studio and made a new artwork for an exhibition in Durham.

Occasionally, I find myself home alone around lunch times so I like to put Andy Warhol on YouTube and eat my lunch with him. Its a technique of 21st Century companionship and lasts about five minutes. I decided to make this video so that everyone can enjoy their lunch with me and Andy Warhol. The original film footage comes from Danish filmmaker Jorgen Leth, the scene appears in his art movie “66 scenes from america” which was filmed in 1981. For my film, I filmed the footage from a YouTube video uploaded by the user Hidden Below. Happy lunching!

As part of Cassette Store Day 2014 I have two new artworks on cassette going on show and for sale as part of Les Cassettes at NewBridge Books in Newcastle.
Saturday 27 September // from 12noon // NewBridge Books
My two new artworks on cassette are ‘Whats my Methodology Again?’ and ‘PHUNNY’. Both are an edition of five and produced 2014. See photos with descriptions below.
On Saturday 27 September, NewBridge Books hosts Les Cassettes; an exhibition of cassette-based artworks celebrating International Cassette Store Day. The exhibition takes the form of a pop-up shop based around the collection, display and sale of artist-made cassette releases and audio artworks. There will be a whole host of limited edition Cassette artworks on offer, at affordable prices. The project is initiated by multi-disciplinary art collective and fictional band Stabbing Les.
Les Cassettes will be open from 12 midday on Saturday 27th September, with performances taking place throughout the day.
There will also be musical performance from Accord-Iain to Gary at 7pm
What’s my Methodology Again? – A comical spoken word appropriation of a ‘90s pop punk classic. This two minute thirty interpretation tells the cautionary tale of being too contemporary to study art history.
PHUNNY: (slang) (adj) something funny but phoney. /// Put some mirth into your everyday with two hilarious twenty minute episodes of canned comedy laughter without dialogue. /// Discover renewed humour in your daily actions and live your own phunny sitcom ///

I will be presenting new works from the dysfunktional ceramix family collection in a group exhibition at Bristol’s Motorcade/Flashparade. Featuring a tasty offering of work by the following artists:
Curated by Sarah Tulloch.
mish•mash proudly presents gal•li•mau•fry – a dish made of leftovers.
Thursday 16th February
Pre-preview critique: 6-7pm
Friday 17th – Sunday 19th February
12 – 6pm
Come and feast on the delectable delights of an object/image medley created especially for Motorcade/FlashParade.
mish•mash artists collect objects and images with junkshop origins and re-categorize them with a self-imposed logic. We cut, break, fold, fuse, add, subtract and re-arrange. The artists’ treatment of the source material creates a disconcerting undertone to a beguiling and playful world.
